How to place the implant?
The implant is placed under sterile circumstances, mostly under local anesthesia. The implantation can also be made with a narcosis or in twilight sleep.
Regarding every individual case, the exposure takes place only after the healing process has been successfully completed. It might not be necessary at all (so called open healing process) if the implant stays exposed right from the start.
The period of time up to the final prosthetic work can vary from case to case and may also differ depending on the various implantation systems. This explains why it can differ between six weeks and six months.
