Treatment of fractures
Bony injuries of the jaw- and craniofacial bones can vary a lot and the combinations are numerous. A polytrauma of the dish face is the maximum variation of possible traumata, whereas the fracture of the teeth is the minor injury of hard substances.
With the help of little osteosynthesis disks from titanium or also made of absorbable material (on the left) an operative fracture treatment can be carried out and with the help of splintings a conservative fracture treatment (on the right). Substitute materials or bone transplants are also considered at bone defects. Before a concrete treatment an examination related to the field and an adequate radio diagnostics is required at first, though. Next to the usual overview photos we use the possibilities of the OPG and the DVT for this.
