In which cases is it possible?
Apart from children and teenagers, implants are possible up to a high age. Being of good health is necessary, no pyschic defects, a normal wound healing, and a minimum of jawbone substance. The last mentioned can also be built up.
Single denture
Ordinary denture (bridge):

- Possible if there are infected adjacent teeth

- A better distributon of the biting force
- Extensionable if there a further losses of teeth
- No atrophy in the area of the gap

- Atrophy of the jawbone by pressure of prothesis
- Occasional disturbance of taste
- Danger of injury by braces
- Occasional allergic reactions
